If you have designs on heading over to TCAN to see Paula Cole perform, watch the new Rockfield movie, or yuk it up at the Boston comics show, you’re going to need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination along with a photo ID.
Natick’s center for the arts has announced these new rules go into effect Friday, Aug. 27. Negative COVID-19 test results won’t cut it.
You’ll need don a mask as well when not chowing down or drinking.
According to TCAN Executive Director David Lavalley: “This decision is one we have been contemplating for the last two weeks, as the delta variant has spread in Massachusetts driving an increase in infections. We consulted other venues, our members and patrons, a long list of performing artists, local health authorities and a local epidemiologist. In recent days, we have all seen similar announcements from music venues and theatres in and around Boston including the Orpheum, Paradise Club, House of Blues, City Winery, the Middle East, Club Passim, Narrows Center and many others. You will hear more venues announce in the next several days.”
The policy will be reevaluated on an ongoing basis, informed by guidance from health authorities.
If you choose not to comply, you can request a refund.
TCAN reopened in June after more than a year of pandemic-forced closure.
