The waterfall (aka, spillway) at the South Natick Dam has a reputation for snagging logs in its clutches, and triggering log watches as a result. One recent log watch lasted for about half a year.
The days of log watches could be numbered as Natick figures out what’s going to happen to the dam, which is need of repair and may be ditched to save the town money and address environmental concerns.
