Francis Parker Charter School in Devens, MA, near Worcester, has selected Natick High School principal Brian Harrigan as its next Head of School from a group of three finalists for the job. The public school educates 400 students in grades 7 – 12 on part of the expansive grounds of the former Fort Devens, which was inactivated as an Army base in 1996.

Natick Superintendent Anna Nolin in an announcement said, “I am personally and professionally sad to lose this leader from our ranks, but we always support and grow our staff knowing they may leave us one day.”
Harrigan was quoted in Nolin’s weekly newsletter saying, “it is the pull of the charter school and its mission and 400 students that pulls me, not a push away from Natick.”
Harrigan has been principal of Natick High School since 2015.
At Memorial School…
The Natick Public School system is moving closer to hiring a new Memorial Elementary School principal. 12 applicants for the job have been interviewed; seven of that group will then be interviewed by a panel of parents, teachers, support staff, a school committee member, and central office staff in preparation for a final round made up of several candidates.
