I happened to walk by the home at 12 South Lincoln St., Monday morning just as a construction vehicle was tearing down the rear of it and mashing it good. (I had the money shot on video, but screwed it up on my iPhone, so just the still image here…)
The property owner recently went through the Natick Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) for approval to demolish the two-family dwelling and construct two new detached units on the pre-existing, non-nonconforming lot. Duplexes are increasingly a target for developers.
Reviewing applications for tear downs continue to be one of the main duties for the ZBA.
