Here’s the plan for Memorial Day Observances in Natick:
Monday, May 23, 8 a.m. – Decorate veterans’ squares and memorials with wreaths (meet at Veterans Services Office, 117 East Central St.)Tuesday, May 24, 6:30 p.m. – 98th annual Transfer of Flags, Wilson Middle SchoolThursday, May 26, 6 p.m. – Decorate veterans’ graves with flags (with Scouting groups and personnel from the Natick Soldier Systems Command Center)- Monday, May 30 – Annual Observances
-8:15 a.m. – parade forms at Moran Park
-8:25 a.m. – flag raising
-8:30 a.m. – parade units step off, proceed to the Common for ceremonies at the GAR memorial. Parade will then proceed to Dell Park and St. Patrick’s cemeteries, then to the Indian Burial Ground, for ceremonies.
There will also be a ceremony at Glenwood Cemetery in South Natick at noon. Collation to follow at VFW, West Central Street.
*Some ceremonies may be altered due to changing COVID-19 protocols.
