Want to see what it’s like to be on the Natick Select Board without making a 3-year commitment? The town has a deal for you.
A special election has been set for Sept. 13 for the Select Board seat recently vacated by Karen Adelman-Foster.
The victor will only serve into March, when the seat will be up for grabs for the usual 3-year term.
If three or more people run, then a preliminary election will be held on Aug. 16, 7am-8pm.
Nominations papers become available June 1 at the Town Clerk’s office. They’re due for certification to the Board of Registrars by 5pm on June 28 and the Board of Registrars has until July 12 to submit certified nomination papers to the Town Clerk.
Polls will be open 7am-8pm for the special election on Sept. 13.
