Maura Healey easily won Natick and the state in the race for Governor, according to unofficial results, and the majority of Natick voters checked “Yes” on all 5 ballot questions.

The most local of those ballot questions, #5, asked voters if the town should adopt the Community Preservation Act (CPA), which would result in a property tax surcharge to support investment in historic preservation, open space, recreation, and affordable housing (some who qualify as low or moderate income will be exempted from paying the surcharge).
The first surcharge will appear on the the tax bill at the beginning of fiscal year 2024 (July 1, 2023).
The CPA earned “Yes” votes from about 63% of voters.
About two-thirds of registered voters in Natick cast ballots.
