Update (2/15/23): Officials identified the man struck and killed on the train tracks as Joseph Franciose, age 52.
A Natick man in his 50s was killed after being struck by an outbound commuter rail train on Monday afternoon near the Natick/Wellesley line, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
The area was swarmed by first responders, helicopters hovered above, and trains were delayed.
Police located the deceased man on the tracks upon arriving. His identity was not disclosed.
There is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, MBTA Transit Police and Natick Police.
