Family Promise Metrowest (FPM) received a grant of $3,500 from the Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club to support families facing homelessness and housing insecurity in the Metrowest region.

Founded in 2008, the Natick-based organization. collaborates with community-based organizations to provide shelter and other essential services to families in need. The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club since 2008 has provided not only grant funding, but essential volunteer support. Club members have sponsored product drives for families transitioning from shelter, staffed the FPM front office on weekends, helped with family moving days, and created walkathon teams.
FPM development director Carole Brodrick said, “The WHJWC has been an amazing partner of Family Promise Metrowest since we opened our doors. This group of women have generously donated their resources and time, working side by side to make a meaningful difference in our community.”
The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club, founded in 1944, is a group of committed women who work together to help those in need in the community by providing volunteer support, grants, scholarships, and donated items. WHJWC is well-known for its popular fundraising events, including the Wellesley Kitchen and Home Tour, Marketplace, and WonderRun 5K, among others, which enable over $100,000 of charitable donations from the group every year.
Family Promise Metrowest (FPM) offers a spectrum of services to families that are facing housing instability and homelessness. From a family shelter based in Natick Center to a homelessness prevention program that serves families across the region, FPM has grown exponentially in recent years, now helping over 80 families per year access stable housing, sustainable employment, affordable childcare, and educational opportunities.
