While fireworks are no longer launched officially in Natick during the week of July 4 (some recall displays at Memorial Field and on Rte. 9 across from the Mall), the town will not be void of entertainment this week.
Natick Nights carries on this Thursday, July 6, from 5-7:30pm downtown featuring food, music, shopping, and other fun.
The activity continues that night with a folk concert by Max Klau Band at 7:30pm on Natick Common.
The town meeting calendar actually is quiet this week, but the Open Space Advisory Committee members are troopers, with a hybrid meeting slated for Thursday at 7pm at Town Hall.
Agenda items include:
- Updates on the Community Preservation Act
- Woodland Street property
- Priorities for open space acquisition

I remember the good ole days, Chief Shea directing traffic on west street before the fireworks… Absolutely disgusted in the woke, jokesters NOW!!!
What does wokeness have to do with anything???? The lack of fireworks and parade are due to a lack of volunteers to help plan these things. Stop ridiculously blaming wokeness for everything and get off your butt and sign up as a Friend’s of the Fourth volunteer for next year!
