Katherine Clark, Minority Whip of the U.S. House of Representatives, is slated to visit Natick High School on Monday, July 24 at noon for a press event to discuss federal funding secured to safeguard Natick and other communities along the Charles River watershed from flooding.
The $400,000 in funding will be used for improving the ability of the Charles River Flood Model to handle stormwater management, including through nature-based approaches.
Reps from Natick town government and Massachusetts state government, the Charles River Watershed Association, and Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW).
Congresswoman Katherine Clark (MA-5) stopped by the South Natick dam in late 2021 to promote the clean water infrastructure provisions in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
