Burrito Spice, a Mexican cuisine restaurant owned by Sid Bhalodia and Sam Guleria, opened its third location this August at 215 West Central St., in Natick. Ending the summer on a fresh note, Burrito Spice packed a punch into its debut. Offering what Guleria said are authentic Mexican flavors and fresh Tex-Mex recipes, Burrito Spice offers something unique to town.
The eatery’s new space may be on the small side, but its mosaic tile counters and colorful decorations hanging from the rafters add a fun aesthetic. Skylights keep the restaurant bright. With enough room inside to seat approximately 20 people and a take-out or food delivery option, Burrito Spice hits the mark on cozy and accommodating. There is limited outdoor seating as well.
The expansive menu includes set specials such as shrimp Chimichangas and chicken taquitos, and “Signature Eats,” which includes a California style burrito and a deconstructed taco protein bowl.
When entering the restaurant, there is also a bar with many different types of protein and toppings for bowls, salads and burritos in which customers can choose what they would like to have in their meal, creating a customizable experience. If you are vegetarian, don’t worry—Burrito Spice offers customers the option of not having either with their order.
The fish tacos we ordered were a good size for those looking for a smaller lunch, depending on your appetite, and it was delivered in a timely manner. The fish was fresh but the pico de Gallo was a tad heavy on the onion flavor. The chipotle mayo hit the tongue immediately with an after-hit to the back of your throat with a lighter spice (this also depends on your tolerance). Overall, it was tasty, and worth a trip if you’re in the area.
(During a later visit, we had a chicken quesadilla and a chicken Torta, the latter of which is served on a soft roll—our version featured refried beans and grilled chicken. Both items hit the spot for lunch.)
Welcoming to adults and kids alike, you can end your trip on a sweet note by ordering desserts such as Blueberry Cheesecake Chimichanga’s or Caramel Churros. For the 21 and over-crowd, beer and margaritas are available.

Growing up in Natick in the 1970’s, there was no Mexican food — a very sad fact. Looking forward to visiting Burrito Spice!
