Blue Cross volunteers in Natick

Nearly 3,000 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts employees volunteered on Sept. 28 at service projects to support 57 not-for-profits. Blue Cross has been holding its annual Service Day since 2011.

Among the organizations where Blue Cross employees volunteered was Natick’s Birthday Wishes, to create celebration kits for unhoused children.

Keep Natick Beautiful seeks reinforcements

Natick Select Board member Paul Joseph mentioned near the start of the Oct. 4 Select Board meeting that Keep Natick Beautiful founder and leader Pat Conaway plans to step back from some of his duties and that the organization is seeking more help with its programming to maintain and clean the town’s open spaces. Some other non-profits in town are among those that have been partnering with Keep Natick Beautiful on clean-ups.
