A pair of workshops will be held this month at the Common Street Spiritual Center to teach skills for having political conversations across the divide.
A nonprofit outfit called Braver Angels is partnering with the local Spark Kindness organization to host these free sessions on Nov. 4 (Depolarizing Within, 2-5pm) and Nov. 11 (Skills for Bridging the Divide, 2-5pm).
Braver Angels says it helps people “listen and understand without arguing to build trust, clarify disagreements, and find common ground based on common values and humanity.”
Numerous communities, including Wellesley, have initiated civil discourse efforts in an attempt to foster more productive collaboration.
