Natick middle school hockey players competed for a good cause in front of a loud crowd on Friday at the annual Connor Cup Championship at Chase Arena.
The event, which included a bake sale and auction, raised funds for Cops for Kids with Cancer and honored the memory of Connor Heffler, a young hockey enthusiast who passed away in 2016.
Natick High School hockey team players who went to Wilson or Kennedy Middle School stood behind the respective benches of their younger peers, and boys and girls high school captains coached the middle schoolers.
Kennedy won the 8th grade game by a 5-1 score, and the 6th/7th match by a narrower 6-4 margin.
Thank you to Rachel Saks Aronis for sharing photos and a recap of the action.
