Autism Welcoming center ribbon cutting
Advocates, a nonprofit human services provider, and its Autism Alliance program on Thursday, Sept. 19 (3-5pm) will celebrate the grand opening of an Autism Welcoming training center at the Natick Mall. This new 2,700-square-foot, sensory-friendly space will provide Autism Welcoming certification opportunities for businesses along with resources and social recreation activities for individuals living with autism and their families. The center was renovated and donated by the Natick Mall, with funding support from the Nancy Lurie Marks Family Foundation and the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services. Ribbon cutting at 4pm. Suite 2116 is on the upper level of the mall near Learning Express.
Home for Little Wanderers appoints Natick resident
The Home for Little Wanderers has appointed Cynthia Hall Kouré of Natick as director of foundation relations.
She brings over twenty years of professional fundraising experience to the position at the child welfare agency. Prior to joining The Home for Little Wanderers, Kouré helped raise money for various local nonprofits, including the Greater Boston Food Bank, Project Bread, and the Women’s Lunch Place.

Summer produce project at Framingham State University
First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Framingham and the Ram’s Resource Center at Framingham State University teamed up over the summer to combat student food insecurity. For 16 weeks, they delivered fresh fruits and vegetables to the Resource Center.
Greater Framingham Community Church and Edwards Church were also partners.
