Thanks to a Book Brigade of over 40 volunteers, it’s now official—Ten Trees Books last week moved directly across Main St. in the historic Natick Center Cultural District, and is already well established in its new permanent space at 29 Main St.
Over 8,000 books made their way from hand to hand until the old store, which opened in 2024, was emptied out, and the new store was filled. Owner Kim Rickard and her team wasted no time in getting organized, and Ten Trees is open for business (see video on Ten Trees’ Instagram).
Rickard in an email to her loyal customers said, “With this new space we will be able to offer an even wider variety of inventory and it has a large event space on the lower level where all our book clubs and special events will happen. We are so excited to begin this new leg of our adventure.”
Congratulations, Ten Trees Books. We always knew Natick could support a bookstore, and so here goes your proof.
And kudos to Jill Hourihan, owner of The Hive, who once again has done what she set out to do. Ten Trees, and so many other local businesses, incubated at The Hive, launching when the time was right. More on that here.

The Book Brigade. Maybe they’re available for whole house moves, if you’re moving directly across the street. Photo credit: Ten Trees Books.
Fun fact: Natick Report is a small business, too. If you’d like to contribute $ to support our independent journalism venture, please do…
