Gun buyback event
October 11, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
A group called Citizens for a Safer Natick, in conjunction with the Middlesex Sheriff’s Department and Natick Police Department, will be holding a gun buyback event at the Hartford Street Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10am-2pm. The event is backed by a grant from the Metro West Health Foundation.
Those dropping off guns do so anonymously, according to organizers. People are asked to come with the guns in their vehicle trunks, unloaded. They drive up to a station manned by various officers, who remove the weapons and hand donors one or more coupons. Donors then drive to another station, where citizen volunteers exchange gift cards for the coupons.
