Natick Select Board Candidates Green Forum

The volunteer EcoNatick.org group has organized a forum for Natick Select Board candidates to weigh in on environmental issues.
Here is some of the agenda they will be addressing before questions from the audience:
1. How best to Accelerate Electrification of Residential Homes and Commercial Buildings, including views on new opt-in ‘stretch’ code for construction to build without using fossil fuels.
2. Charles River Dam in South Natick – rebuild spillway or restore river to its natural flow; funding recommendation for choice(s).
3. Community Preservation Act – view on Spring Town Meeting Vote to fund via 1% property tax to get matching State Money for recreation space, affordable housing, historic preservation.
4. Prioritization of Net Zero/LEEDS Silver principles for Memorial Elementary School and other municipal building projects.
During the latter portion of the event, participants will be able to submit questions through the Zoom Chat Room.
