Scenes from last Friends of the Morse Institute Library’s Book and Bake Sale of the season

September 28, 2025 by Maureen L. Sullivan

On the weekend of Sept. 27 and 28, the Friends of the Morse Institute Library sponsored its final Book and Bake Sale of the season.

Hundreds came to the library to stock up on bargains, including books, CDs, puzzles and games; the bake sale was a way for bargain-hunters to stock up on cookies, brownies and more. Proceeds from the book/bake sale enable the Friends to provide funds for museum passes, programs and other services at the Morse Institute Library.

(It was announced during the Sept. 29 Select Board meeting that the sale generated about $11.5k in revenue.)

Miss the sale? The Friends sponsor a Book Nook at the library’s main entrance; it’s open during library hours.
