The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) has published an interactive visualization of where in Massachusetts dogs are available for adoption. The visualization uses data from Petfinder.com.

Natick, the shape of which many describe as looking like a dog’s head, has several dogs available for adoption, according to the interactive map.
As MAPC explains, with more people working from home during the pandemic, the idea of having and caring for a dog has become more desirable for more residents.
Locally, Stray Pets in Need can work with you on adopting a pet.
