Natick will recognize Veterans Day this week through a mix of in-person and online events in light of the pandemic.
On Nov. 11, the town at 9am will begin a ceremony to raise a Purple Heart flag at the Community-Senior Center at 137 East Central St., as Natick has been designated a Purple Heart Town. The Purple Heart Award recognized those injured or killed while serving in the U.S. military.

Following the flag raising, a procession will roll through Natick along Rte. 27 and 135, passing by four nursing facilities and numerous dedicated squares, according to Paul Carew, Natick’s director of veteran services. Here’s the route:
A virtual ceremony will also be made available via Natick Pegasus. An agenda has been embedded below, and includes comments from military, town, and other officials.
