A reader gave us a heads up over the weekend that it appeared as though Mile 10 Market in Natick had closed. Indeed, when a Natick Report correspondent swung to take photos, he found the store largely cleared out—though the long-running “Now Open!” sign remained in the front window at 54B East Central St.

We reached out to the owner via email on Saturday to see if perhaps Mile 10 is just up to some spring cleaning, but haven’t heard back. We tried the phone number on the original business application, but nothing doing.
The shop opened in summer of 2024 after making a comeback during the town alcohol license approvals process following an initial rejection in 2023. The Select Board voted 4-0 in March of 2024 to approve an off premise wine and malt beverage license (and the business is shown on the town’s 2026 license renewal list). Owner Neel Patel’s pitch to the Select Board was that Mile 10 would be a specialty food store with beer and wine, ““a smaller version of Whole Foods.”
The owner returned to the board in May of 2025 to request an all-alcohol license but got turned down, with the board not convinced there was a public need for Mile 10 to have such a license. The store is located in between Dion’s and Town Line Liquors, both of which have off premise all alcohol licenses.
