When you’re done with forest fairies, check out the alphabet

April 19, 2020 by Bob Brown

The charming, and growing, Fairyland project at Hunnewell Forest in Natick should keep kids and adults occupied for at least 1 socially distanced escape from the house.

But if you need some variety over the long weekend, Wellesley also has an Alphabet hunt off of Turner Road/Weston Road at the North 40 (boardwalk too, which is not easy to social distance). There had been a Brook Path Zoo that started near Cameron Street (near Wellesley Free Library), but think the storms might have done it in.

Stormy weather takes toll on Natick trees, fences…

April 13, 2020 by Bob Brown

The harrowing wind and rain storm on Monday had Eversource warning customers that outages might be coming and that fixes might slow in light of work practices affected by COVID-19 precautions.  The storm certainly took its toll on Natick trees and anything in their path of their falling trunks or branches.
